MBBS vs Law
It is about what happened some days back on the platform Hilarious and uniting too. A 300 level medical student applied for a grant for his parfait business, and needed votes to emerge winner. We had reposted the flyer and voted but despite all efforts, he didn't win. What stood out, however, was how everyone on the UAMSA group was willing to help out. It was quite inspiring. Some barely knew him but were willing to be sharing because he is a part of UAMSAβ¦
MBBS vs Law-
Na today we go know ππ
Yesterday, what I want to call history was made.
While men slept, University of Abuja medical students voted, posted, reposted, shared links and did everything within their power to make sure one of their own won.
Let me give you the full gistπ
For a few days now, a preclinical student, Michael Ekundayo of the University of Abuja, had been making posts asking for the support of anyone and everyone who could cast a vote for his parfait business, Maranatha Danfo Bistro to be given a
And somehow, this thing went from βplease vote for meβ to βthis is now a collective assignment.β π
Medical students started sharing his posts, putting them on their statuses, reminding people to vote and generally doing what medical students apparently do when they decide that one of their own must win.
LinkedIn, X (formerly known as Twitter), WhatsApp statuses ππ, groups, contact listsβ¦
We were everywhere.
One person would post, another would repost. Someone would send the link to their contacts, someone else would remind their entire class group, and before you knew it, people who had probably never even heard of Maranatha Danfo Bistro were suddenly emotionally invested. π
At this point, it wasn't even just Michael asking for votes anymore.
It was University of Abuja medical students asking for votes.
And the funniest part?
We weren't just voting.
We were campaigning. ππ
Because apparently, when a medical student has a business to support, MBBS students will temporarily forget about lectures, practicals, tests and the numerous things competing for their attention and say:
βThis one? We must win.β π
One hour to goπ₯π₯π₯
Ekundayo
Ekundayo

Ekundayo π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
He was leading until he wasn't!
The meat pie girl was leading?! ππ
How was she doing it sef???
Because for every vote Ekundayo got, she was getting quadruple.
βOya, go and call Face of UniAbuja.β
βSend it to Veritas.β
βWho has sent it to Covenant University?β
πππ
The pressure was real oo.
Because at this point, this was no longer just a grant competition.
It was MBBS vs Law. π
And then the most painful part? π«ͺ
The meat pie girl actually won. πππ
After all our votes.
All our reposts.
Chaiiii e pain me gann
All our WhatsApp statuses.
All the people we had recruited into this campaign.
We are still recovering from the heartbreak, so send a medical student chocolates and flowers todayππ
